  • Thank you for going out of the way to connect with the teachers for conferences about your student. It is a pleasure to meet with such caring parents.
  • Our teachers are preparing some pretty awesome lessons for our students.
  • In Social Studies students are doing projects on countries. They will be displayed on poster boards against the wall next to the carline on Thursday. If you get here early, please have a look.
  • Mrs. Santos’ upper level Reading classes are being exposed to great literature and are learning to analyze 1. Setting 2. Character 3. Simile 4. Foreshadowing
  • Mrs. McLane is teaching “The Virtues” by way of integrating technology, character formation and language. The students are preparing Power Point presentations to illustrate what they have learned. These will be demonstrated at morning assembly. You are welcome to come when you drop off your students.
  • Students are making steady progress in Math under Mrs. Catlin and Mr. Lipinski’s direction. Mr. Catlin is combining geometric and algebraic concepts for our older students and THEY ARE GETTING IT!
  • The first Thursday of every month. DRESS FOR SUCCESS DAY for our high school students. Our partnership with Children’s Haven is progressing well.
  • Mrs. Smith continues to challenge our students in technology in helping them use almost every aspect of Microsoft Office in making brochures, presentations, etc.
  • We could not individualize the way we need to without the help of Sister Elizabeth, Sister Mary Hope and David Kaliher. Thank you to our teacher assistants and to our volunteers.
  • Through the generosity of Ken and Joyce Miller our school now has its own laminator, three new lap top computers to be used with accompanying LCD projectors to be used for Power Point and other advanced instruction by teachers in their classrooms. Supplies for Joan Willet for her role as a nurse have also been donated. Thank you to Ken and Joyce Miller for all of your support!
  • THE SCHOOL BOARD AND PTO VOTED UNANIMOUSLY FOR FOLLOWING CHANGE IN OUR SCHOOL UNIFORM: WE WILL ALLOW BOTH WHITE AND NAVY BLUE SHIRTS TO BE WORN ALONG WITH THE KHAKI, (TAN) PANTS AS OF THIS COMMUNICATION.
  • Some students are wearing MOST INAPPROPRIATE CLOTHING when we allow ‘out of uniform’ days. For example, girls should not be wearing micro-mini skirts or scanty tank tops to school. Boys should wear pants which fit them around the waist.
  • Included are $5. discount coupons for the Sarasota Circus, which is next door.
  • Cell phone: Our handbook says that students may only have a cell phone with parental permission. This is to be kept in their backpacks. It cannot be turned on during school hours. Emergency phone calling goes through the school phone with staff permission.
