Her dimpled cheeks and beaming smile do not tell the story of the troubled experiences this lovely child weathered before and during the time she came into foster care.

Machaela's life's desire is to have a family, especially kind and caring parents who can laugh with her, listen to her and be there for her in good times and bad. Born in April of 1990, Machaela loves horses, swimming, being outdoors, babies, and attention. She also likes to help out in the kitchen and would love to learn to cook. She needs a family who can set boundaries for her and who has the patience to help her learn to live within those boundaries. Because she has been disappointed so many times by adults, she has learned to use behaviors that sometimes push adults away, when what she wants more than anything to is to love and be loved, and to know that she is part of a “forever” family.

She would love to have other brothers and sisters as long as she is able to have one-on-one time with mom and dad.
